A year of many highlights has come to an end.

After two rough years of staying at home we finally could reunite and share great times together.

Here some highlights:
▫️Recorded my first album with Heidevolk
▫️Released the beautiful ‘Heaven is Whatever’ album with Awakening Sun
▫️Played a bunch of cool festivals all around Europe
▫️Met many fellow drummers from around the globe
▫️Played a show with the legendary Cesar Zuiderwijk
▫️Got myself a new full sleeve! (Pics soon!)
▫️Found myself a new sport, CrossFit!
▫️Went on a beautiful holiday trip with bae
▫️Got ourselves a second Maine Coonie
▫️Bought my own drum studio (To be finished soon!)
▫️Confirmed my dream festival which gonna take place in 2023 (Graspop here I come!)
▫️Recovered successfully from an unexpected operation

Summing up all these memories is making me excited for what 2023 will bring. Let’s keep striving to become better, stronger, faster, and louder than I was this year.

Last but not least; I’ve been flooded with birthday wishes yesterday. Big thanks to every single one of you for taking a moment to congratulate me. I’ve had a wonderful birthday with family and friends 🙏🏻

This start/stop section is pretty tricky, especial

This start/stop section is pretty tricky, especially when you have been recovering from an operation for 10 weeks and not being able to sit/ play drums up to a few days before the show. Getting back in shape in such a short time was tricky, but I’m happy I managed to pull this off! Repetition, self belief and focus were key here 💪🏻😎

Words can’t describe how excited I am to tell you that I am playing at freakin’ @graspopmetalmeeting 2023!!🔥🔥🔥

As a 12 year old Kev I attended my first festival, Graspop. Metal music made such an impact on me at that time that I attended this festival for 12 years in a row. I’ve always said to myself: ‘If there would be a dream in my career, it would be playing with my own band at this kick-ass festival!’.

And here we are, next year my dream will become reality..! ♥️

Drum Studio update! 😍

A lot of progress has been made in the past few weeks. My goal is to have it fully finished before the end of the year.

For now I have made it ‘workable’ so I can continue practicing for the upcoming shows but in the meantime work on the details that need to be finished.

Still left to do:
- Get the acoustics on point
- Make some nice shelves
- Install infrared heating
- Change all halogen lights to led lights
- Etc etc etc 😁

“Klauwen Vooruit” (The Hunter’s Claw) brings you the story about the extraordinary pact between Wolf and Raven. A bond between predator and scavenger where ravens alert wolves to nearby prey. The wolves respond to the raven’s call, kill the prey, eat their share and leave the carcass for the ravens to feast on.

🔥🥁 I’VE BOUGHT MYSELF A DRUM CABIN 🥁🔥

Since a couple months I’ve been seeking for a new studio, but it has been a pain in the ass (literally 🙃) and I had no success. While I was recovering from my operation I came up with the idea to buy an office-unit and turn it into a drum studio in which I would not disturb anyone, read: ANYONE. I started to do a lot of research, found a place where to place it and after a small quest I found the perfect one for my needs 🤘🏻

In the upcoming weeks I’ll be working on my own drum cave and I can’t wait to blast my first beats in there 🥁🔥 #MEGASIKED

The doctor has told me today that the recovery process of my operation will take a few more weeks. Since I believe in Possibility Thinking, I will -instead of playing drums which I am not able to atm- dig into a lot of content and share some nice moments with you 🤘🏻
